Since 1971, the California Fabrication Company has been building enclosures for electronic, military, medical, and industrial applications. In late, 2010 work began creating the grounds for a high-end modular PC case platform for enthusiasts. CaseLabs was born.

Originally created and manufactured in the US, CaseLabs now manufactures cases in Europe, Sweden. We work closely with our American friends, former employees and enthusiasts overseas to keep the original spirit, look, and feel of our products.

Work is on its way to get production going after CaseLabs was forced into bankruptcy in 2018 due to high tariffs. We can’t wait to get things up and running again, and to see what you create using our products. More information will be presented on our website in the future.

We are currently working hard to categorize and set up all the blueprints for production. We are also working on a platform where you can download the manuals for all cases.

At some point in the future, we would like to start a program for professional case modders, PC builders, and content creators / reviewers as soon as we get things going.

Please subscribe to our newsletter for future updates for the program.

Work is on its way with partners to create grounds for CaseLabs’ new production line. We have strict QC and won’t release anything unless it lives up to CaseLabs standards.

Next up is to manufacture parts and open up a webshop.

California-based CaseLabs unfortunately went into bankruptcy back in 2018 due to circumstances regarding tariffs in the US. CaseLabs enthusiast Emil Rytterstedt bought the rights in 2021. We are now working to resurrect the brand and to start manufacturing cases again in Sweden.
While there is no official date yet, we want you to know that we are working hard on getting things running. We have started going through all the blueprints and things are looking good so far. We want to make sure that QC is up to CaseLabs standards when it comes to our manufacturing partner. We’ll most likely start selling spare parts to begin with, with complete cases following soon after.
We highly recommend subscribing to our newsletter below to get updates on our progress.
We want to establish a solid ground for the new brand to stand on. This new website will host our webshop in the future, and provide a platform for support, contact, and customer service. After establishing the website, the next step is to start bending metal.
This is a hot topic and something a lot of members of the community are discussing right now. We fully support the right-to-repair movement and we support, and even encourage, members of the community to make their own parts for our products. However, we won’t allow parts being sold under our brand name.

CaseLabs manufacturing will move to Sweden, and with that shipping costs will probably increase for our US-based customers. We are discussing some kind of compensation to our North American customers to off-set the high shipping costs, but so far, we haven’t reached a decision yet. Meanwhile, our European customers will most likely notice a drop in shipping costs compared to before.

At some point in the future, we would love to design brand new case models. However, our current plan regarding cases is to start by selling spare parts, followed by the original line of cases. After that, our focus will be on updating the original line-up of cases to revision A with updated front I/O, vertical GPU bracket support and so on.

And we have heard you: A small form factor case could see the light of day sometime in the future.

When our case business is up and running, we eventually plan on expanding the CaseLabs line-up to also include merchandise, accessories, components and PC peripherals.

We want to stress that we want to hear from you, the CaseLabs community, on what CaseLabs should be working towards: what types of new products you want to see from us.

We want to begin by thanking the community for answering our survey. We recieved way more answers than expected! Over 2200 people completed the survey! It is clear to us that you want more tempered glass, a smaller form factor case, focus on availability, and new revisions on current line-up cases.

Thank you very much, we have learned a lot from your valuable input!

We are planning to launch our webshop in two phases. The first phase is what we call our ”soft-launch” where we offer a selection of spare parts in high demand. Following the ”soft-launch” will be a ”hard-launch” were we will once again offer the entirety of our original line-up of models, all spare parts, and all accessories.
